Colombia
it is located in South America, our capital city is Bogota and our native language is Spanish, our current president is called Ivan Duque. Colombia is one of the most happiest countries in the world, the only risk is wanting to stay. Although we've had some problems in terms of politics and drug-trafficking, so our reputation has been seen as one of the most dangerous places to travel, all of our problems were caused by corruption and narco guerrillas mostly known as FARC. In the 80s there was the lord of drugs which is also mostly known as Pablo Escobar Gaviria, born in Medellin 1949, Pablo was one of the most wanted criminals by the time, he did also offered to pay the external debt to improve his reputation and escape the jail, but this beautiful country has its great reputation for its delicious coffee that is been highly rated in the whole planet and our highly known celebrities such as Sofia Vergara, Shakira, Carlos Vives, Maluma, J Balvin, Etc. These great artists have marked all over the world with their talent and charisma which is one of our greatest representations. The most popular cities in Colombia are Cartagena which is the most touristic place in the country, Medellin for its Feria de las Flores and its attractive climate and of course Barranquilla because of its carnival.



Barranquilla

In Barranquilla, where the Magdalena River meets the Caribbean Sea, any street becomes a party. You don’t need to visit during the famous Carnival to see a lot of people dancing around the streets to instruments such as drums, maracas, and flutes. Here, joy belongs to everyone. The Carnival of Barranquilla is the most important event and cultural festival in Colombia. The city really shines during this celebration, but it’s also an ideal destination for shopping, and eating options with many typical dishes like the Mojarra, Sancocho, Aguapanela, Mote de Queso, Arroz con leche, Peto, Arepa de huevo, as many others. We also have a very tropical weather is like a permanent summer climate and people love to spend their weekends on Puerto Colombia's beaches, we are also known for our charismatic celebrities around the world. Shakira for example is our most popular icon, she is a singer  who is now currently living in Barcelona she's married to Gerrard Pique a spaniard football player. But we not also have great celebrities when it comes to music there's also another icon and her name is Sofia Vergara she's know for her talented and acting skills, she has been in popular tv series like Modern Family


My neighborhood


My neighborhood is called Alto Prado, the great thing about this neighborhood is that i have plenty of  near places to go like Olimpica supermarket to buy everything i need for myself, Richards which is one of the best burgers of the city, Chuzo de la 85 that is the best fast food for chuzos in the whole city, Juan Valdez cafe for its delicious coffee, McDonalds, Dominoes Pizza, Drug Store, the new mall called VIVA, the Torcoroma church, Dunkin Donuts, Piko Riko and if I'm sick i go to the nearest hospital called Colsanitas. My building is white-grey & red, its been recently builded two years ago and its called Prato, what is mostly like about my building is that i can go to the gym downstairs with my friends and my trainer, upstairs i have a pool and jacuzzi that i go every weekend to take the sun with my mom and friends. My neighbors are very kind with me and my whole family, when we first got here they offered us help with the moving. I also like the zone because i can see the whole specatular carnival show called the Garabato by just looking out the window or my balcony, but there are also some things that dislike me because in front of the building there are constructing a big building and is taking an eternity for them to finish.

It was a saturday night,my parents were not home as they told me they were going to a party at the country club ,they told me it was kind of a celebration for their anniversary but i was not quite informed about the real purpose of the party.I really knew they were on another place because i investigated with a friend who is a member of the country club and he told me they didn't even get to the party.I was really worried about it ,they did not answer their phones or their text messages either ;i didn't know what to really do in this moment so i tried to distract myself in other activities like watching movies or reading books for english class while they get home or at least answer their phones . As time passed they were still missing ,any member of our family have any news about them nor my grandfather's,my uncles or cousins...no one at all.I kept calling at them but still i didn't receive a answer ,but suddenly i heard a knock on the door so i ran down the stair
