To be thankful is to be extremely happy and comfy with all you have in your life by nice and not too nice things, for all you have and if you don’t apply the value of trustworthiness in your life it will be bad because  trustworthiness needs to be impecable with your actions, .The purpose of the  value of thankful is  that you are alive and that is thanks to God ; trustworthiness  in the story refers to  The Devil and Tom Walker, I think that the actions and the personality does not show any trustworthiness because Tom needed to be thankful but he doesn’t.  They show in the story that Tom doesnt show any of the  values of thankful and trustworthiness because Tom is acting badly,is a meager and selfish person, he had a nice wife but treated her badly,they had a bad relationship, boths were liars at the same time. He doesnt show the values by many reason like he is not thankful with all that he had like his wife, I think that you need to be thankful...
